Kodak’s Take on Social Media
Four51 is passing along a link to a Social Media Guide we received from Kodak not long ago. It arrived via the email you see below. The email’s author, Jeff Hayzlett, claims that this Guide “has done alot for Kodak” — presumably the proper spelling of a lot will be covered in a subsequent Guide.

Industry News: Special Report on Web-to-Print
Printing News published a special report this morning on Web-to-Print and how it continues to prove itself a worthy business strategy yet is still implemented by a minority of printers.
Julie Shaffer, director of the PIA/GATF’s Digital Printing Council states in the report that “right now the industry is in an adoption paralysis phase where many printers aren’t sure which direction to go so they’re wading through the information clutter before they make their decision.” She follows this statement by saying the expects more printers to implement Web-to-Print technology in the next year.
Four51 is mentioned in the report in conjunction with the Kodak MarketMover Network. The article talks about how the KMN attempted to alleviate some of the obstacles printers usually face when considering implementing Web-to-Print technology by helping them hookup to Four51 technology.
Of course, anyone who has followed the rise of Web-to-Print has surely read many articles that hopefully assert that adoption levels will rise in the coming months (and the report points this fact out as well) so here’s hoping the time has finally truly arrived!

Industry News: Making Multi-Channel Delivery Valuable
PrintingNews.com’s post this morning by Stephen Beals, “Adding Value–Multi-Channel Marketing,” featured results from a CMO survey that went out to 3,000 participants. The survey asked what forms of marketing they would use in the next year and while none of the top responses said print outright, Mr. Beals’ contention is that print is between the lines, “Print providers must offer services to help marketers, advertising agencies, corporations, and other buyers of print meet their needs.”
Later in the article, Mr. Beals also points to the Kodak MarketMover Network, powered by Four51 as an example of a program helping digital printers grow: “Members are better able to serve their customers by having access to a global network, enabling them to add new services and better manage the technology they have today.”
How do you see yourself fitting in “between the lines”? Do you offer useful services to marketers, agencies, and corporations to help further multi-channel marketing approaches?

Client Growth Corner: Leveraging the Kodak MarketMover Network
The Client Growth Corner is an ongoing column from our Client Growth Coordinator.
Hi All,
Tuesday’s special edition of Salon Four51 regarding the Kodak MarketMover Network, powered by Four51 proved to be an insightful presentation. Special thanks to Karl Post from Kodak for his participation.
The main point I gathered from the presentation was the way that any Four51 network member can leverage the Kodak MarketMover Network. Karl spoke about load sharing which allows print provider to provide a higher level of service to their customers without further investment. For print distributors, the Kodak MarketMover Network is a growing network with global reach, comprised of print providers with diverse capabilities and product offerings. For print buyers, the KMN proves to be an impressive resource for production and partnership. Here is the bottom line: Connecting to and leveraging the Kodak MarketMover Network is an opportunity to help you grow and expand your business.
